July Monthly Goals + Free Background

Happy July and happy 2nd half of 2021! Can you believe we are already here? Do I say that every month? I feel like I say that every month… but seriously, where does the time ago?

While we’re at it, how are those new years resolutions doing at this point? Should I even ask haha?! Part of why I started doing these monthly goals instead of larger goals throughout the year is because things change so much from month to month and sometimes you just need to give yourself the grace to change what your goals are.

These past few months have been the BIGGEST months of growth for this business of mine and we are thrilled for what the future has in store and the awesome clients we are working with for the rest of the year. Follow along on Instagram to see updates on all of our projects!

Monthly Goals

1. Entertain More

All of our friends and family are vaccinated now and we have slowly started seeing people again. I absolutely can’t wait to have friends over for dinner parties, pool days, and hangouts again and we have been redoing all of our entertaining spaces for that very purpose. I feel like I have so much to catch up on with everyone; babies that are growing up, new houses, new marriages, you name it. I’m really looking forward to spending this month and the rest of this summer seeing all the people I’ve missed so dearly over the last year.

2. Finish House Projects

We bought our house 2 years ago at the same time we were planning our wedding. Since then, we’ve had a TON of house projects: from painting all the rooms, changing our entire kitchen, completely changing our patio, altering bathrooms and our tv room, and of course decorating and furnishing every room. Since we tripled our square footage from our previous apartment, it has been an ordeal to furnish this place but we’ve tried to be intentional about the furniture and décor we’ve chosen instead of just buying whatever to fill it. We still have a few house projects I’m anxious to finish up this month, like finishing the picture frame molding and painting our tv room, but our house feels even more like home with each finished project.

3. Prioritize My Relationships

None of my goals this month have to do with work and that’s because I’ve been putting work first for the last few months and I’m ready to shift gears slightly. Now that I’m outsourcing a few things in my business, I want to make the relationships in my life a bigger priority and stop spending all of my time focused on clients and cranking out work 24/7. I want to have more date nights and leisure time with Mike, I want to cuddle and play with Radley more, I want to take a vacation this month where we can enjoy some downtime, I want to call my parents and grandparents more, and, like my first goal, I want to see friends more. Summer is in full swing and I want to make the most of it.
