Oh October, I have so waited for you. This month is my absolute favorite. Fall comes in full force and usually overnight. There is literally nothing better than walking down leafy sidewalks, drinking warm cider and of course bringing out all the fall fashion! I’m super excited to finish off my busy wedding season this year with some beautiful fall weddings and gear up for a winter full of web design projects. Transitions in all aspects of life help re-inspire me each year.
1. Work on my editing style
I’m always trying to improve my work and continue to learn new things. Within my photography I’m still trying to settle on an editing style and with each wedding I see my editing improving and taking shape. I’m super excited to used these fall weddings to hone these skills and really find my voice.
2. Spend more time outside
Raleigh stays warm through most of October until the temperature drops, usually overnight. I want to make use of the last bit of warmth and spend lots of time outside as the leaves start to change. Maybe a couple of camping trips are in order.
3. Continue to reach fitness goals
Every bride wants to look fit in their wedding photos, and as I’ve taken a vested interest in my health and fitness even before we were engaged I’ve been checking off some major fitness goals lately. However, I still have more fitness goals to reach. I started Body By Simone last month and it has been an incredible workout and exactly what I’ve been looking for. Any former dancers or anyone that just likes dance cardio, I highly recommend you take a look at BBS.
4. Finish some new themes for the shop
I’ve been designing some new themes for the shop with new ways to customize and new features to make them fit unique needs. I can’t wait to share them all with you, but I want to get them perfect before they go up for sale. Hopefully I’ll have some extra time this month to put the finishing touches on them. As soon as they are on the shop I’ll be hosting a giveaway, so if you are in the market for a new theme stay tuned for that!
5. Start planning our wedding
You probably saw that Mike and I are now engaged! I can hardly believe it, but we both are so stinking excited to be husband and wife! We still have time to figure everything out, but I’m super excited to start daydreaming about our wedding plans. There may even be a destination wedding in the works. 😉
As always, enjoy the free background download for this month! I went a little overboard and created backgrounds with and without calendars and in three fall colors.
