(v.) the way the nature and/or the weather begins to feel like autumn.

Okay, so it may not actually feel like autumn just yet here in NC but the weather usually plummets towards the end of October and I am READY for it! We’ve already got some festive decorations around the house and it’s certainly making it feel a bit cozier. We are officially one month away from becoming husband and wife and I cannot believe how quickly our engagement has flown by. This year has been incredible in so many ways and I’m so looking forward to all that this fall has in store for us.

October Monthly Goals

1. Batch Prepare More Content

We have so much new content in the works for you guys! The vast library of blog posts I have partially or fully written is unreal! Since I’ll be taking some time off at the end of this month, there are a ton of things I want to get batched so that we keep showing up for you guys and bringing you all the goodies even when we are off enjoying our mini-honeymoon. This always takes a lot of planning, but it’s something I need to get more in the habit of regardless.

2. Plan All the Wedding Stuff

This is honestly priority number one right now! The final countdown till our wedding is here and there are still lots of things still to do! If you don’t hear from me all the time, just know that I am knee deep in planning mode!

Since we don’t have a ton of work goals this month (because my mind is on all things wedding related) I thought I’d share some of my favorite links and things I’ve found from this month.

Hobby inspiration: Embroidered Life: The Art of Sarah K. Benning

I found this little gem while perusing the shelves of Barnes and Noble and absolutely fell in love! It’s such a beautifully done book and is giving me much needed encouragement and inspiration to start learning embroidery. The plant on the cover is even real stitching! How cute is that?

Currently listening to: Becoming by Michelle Obama

No matter what party you affiliate with this book has been awesome so far. This woman right here is an incredible inspiration and in my opinion one of the most impressive first ladies we’ve ever had. I’ve so enjoyed listening to her read her own book.

Favorite Netflix Binge: Derry Girls

I have laughed so hard watching this show recently! It’s definitely become a new favorite of mine! It’s the perfect mix of situational humor, hilarious characters, and brilliant/crazy story lines. Fair warning though, there’s quite a lot of bad language and inappropriate conversations so only watch this when the kids have gone to bed!
